An Indian choker necklace dressed in uncut diamonds/polki and gemstones, featuring the phool (flower) and mor (peacock) and embodying the significance of Navratna.

Handcrafted in gold, this choker necklace is arranged in a play of trapezoidal units spaced with pear-shaped units, dressed in polki/uncut diamonds set using the jadai technique. The central trapezoid features a Navratna rosette surrounded by kundan-set polki/uncut diamonds. The trapezoids on either side hold a majestic peacock, dressed in emerald, glass-filled blue sapphire, and rubies, and surrounded by polki/uncut diamonds. The choker is bordered by cultured pearls at the top, with clusters of pearls suspended from the bottom.

Of all bird motifs in Indian jewellery, the peacock is the most important. It is the vahana (mount) of Lord Shiva and Parvati's second son, Karttikeya, and symbolises joy, beauty, and pride.

The nine gems of the Navratna are thought to protect nine parts of the human body: flesh, fat, bones, hair, feelings, marrow, lymph, blood, and sperm. The number nine is also considered to be a holy number.
