The design of this gold and polki pendant necklace is centered around one of the most prominent motifs in Indian jewelry—the pankhi, a fan-shaped pendant. The pankhi holds a falcon in the center, the symbol of freedom and the ability to navigate through life with grace. It is surrounded by polki/uncut diamonds. Above it is a small gold unit kundan-set with polki with a detail of pearls and red beads.
Emerald drops ending with tiny pearls and red enameled beads are suspended from the pankhi. The patwa technique, a craft of using silk and cotton threads to string, brings the piece together.
